나는 너를 본다, I see you in the sea of you 29.5 x 42 cm Ink on paper 2013
Korean artist going by the nickname Moonassi produces these surreal and intricate pieces of fine line drawings. His mediums usually consist if indian ink and fine liner pen. Moonassi's style is unique in the way he uses traditional Eastern Asian techniques yet applies them in a contemporary manner. The use of positive and negative space with a simple black and white color scheme is favourable in this style. His drawings are drowned in look-a-like figures and explore dream like scenes. When looking closer into his work you are able to see each line connected with the next and finding many surprises within the drawings. He has definitely become a favourite for me as I've now have the detail of I see you in the sea of you as my wallpaper!
